Fabric Paint Eyes on Dumbbell Eyes

The video below will give a brief tutorial on how to use fabric paint to create eyes on dumbbell eyes.  A few things to keep in mind:
  • Use as little fabric paint as possible so that it dries smooth
  • Use a fine point bodkin or other tool
  • After the painted eyes have dried, coat the new eye with a small drop of UV resin to improve durability
  • Paint your dumbbell eyes first and let them dry before tying your pattern
Give this a shot and I hope this helps improve your fly patterns and time at the vise!

I have a hard time describing my thoughts on content, but I really felt I should here. Your article is really great. I like the way you wrote this information.
